Adam, is a registered acupuncturist in both Hong Kong and the UK, with more than 10 years of clinical experience. His  journey in healthcare is rooted in a unique combination of traditional wisdom and cutting-edge innovation.

After earning a Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014, Adam built on his prior academic foundation in Electronics Engineering (Honours, University of Southampton, 1994). Adam’s engineering background has profoundly shaped his exploration and application of microcurrent therapy, merging science and tradition to provide highly effective, non-invasive treatments.

The Inspiration Behind Adam’s Journey

His transition into healthcare was deeply personal. While living in Hong Kong, he witnessed his daughter’s struggle with severe eczema and  aunt’s battle with spinocerebellar ataxia, a neurodegenerative disorder. Traditional treatments fell short until a trusted friend introduced him to Dr. Kwok Chun Ping, a Chinese Medicine practitioner. Using microcurrent therapy, Dr. Kwok cured Adam’s daughter’s eczema in just days, inspiring him to explore this innovative approach further.

Motivated by this success, Adam developed microcurrent scalp acupuncture techniques to support his aunt. By targeting specific zones for speech, motor function, and coordination, both saw remarkable, immediate improvements in her walking and speech.

A Fusion of Ancient Wisdom and Modern Innovation

Collaborating closely with Dr. Kwok, Adam developed treatments for diverse conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, migraines, eczema, psoriasis, knee pain, depression, and sports injuries.

• Traditional Chinese Medicine: Rooted in the Five Elements and Yin-Yang theory, he employs time-tested methods like acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and Chinese herbal medicine to restore balance.

• Microcurrent Therapy: Drawing on advancements in cellular healing, including insights from Nobel Prize-winning research on ion channels, Adam integrates microcurrent therapy to enhance cellular repair without side effects.

This fusion of ancient and modern approaches enables Adam to deliver personalised care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

In 2014, Adam founded Kinman Acupuncture, specialising in treatments that unite anatomical precision, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and modern medical technologies. His approach focuses on restoring harmony and supporting the body’s natural healing processes.

Now, as part of the HealthSpace Clinic team in the UK, Adam is excited to bring his expertise to a broader audience. His mission is to help patients achieve optimal health and well-being through innovative, compassionate, and effective care.
